Alternative Provision Placements
(8-25 yrs)
Larkrise Community Farm is an Alternative Provision that provides an alternative, hands-on learning environment that helps students to reach their full potential.
Through sharing our knowledge, love and care of farm animals our learners build self-esteem, confidence, and lasting friendships with their peers.
Larkrise Community Farm strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment for children and young people to grow and learn. We work closely with education authorities to help children with a range of needs to re-engage with education and improve confidence within the classroom.
We focus on working in small teams to improve social and emotional awareness and regulation, helping to develop life-long skills to support students in school and their home lives. Our methods of working with animals in a spacious environment and as part of small groups helps ease anxiety and allows room for us to adapt to students' needs. We work hard to ensure every student is able to achieve and succeed to the best of their ability.

Larkrise Community Farm’s Learning Passport
All students at Larkrise Community Farm we are passionate about using our farm animals and the great outdoors to support our learners to re-engage in learning.
Larkrise Community Farm offers a passport programme designed for our alternative provision learners. Every session student track their progress within the passport and reflect on their learning. These achievements lead to the completion of AQA Unit Award certificates of achievement. Students get to feel the success of receiving their certificates, based on their pathway achievements, every term.
In addition to the learning passports, each session, group leaders reflect on student’s progress in regards to their specific learning outcomes as set by the school. This is then reported on once a term.
