AQA Unit Award Certificates

The AQA Unit Awards are certificates of achievement that allows learners to receive formal recognition for the chunks of hands-on learning they complete whilst at the farm. The Unit Awards have a range of levels that allow us to support as well as stretch and challenge learners. Certificates are issued within two weeks of the coursework submission; this timely recognition of achievements boosts confidence, increases engagement and improves motivation.

ASDAN Towards Independence Qualifications

Towards Independence offers formal recognition for small steps of achievement towards a larger goal. We offer the Animal Care with Horse Riding and Stable Management module. Students pick an animal then practically investigate their care. This includes: housing, feeding, cleaning, grooming, exercise and play, handling and holiday care. This is a great introduction to owning animals and it is a brilliant, structured qualification which supports students’ confidence.
